Was it nuclear or chemical weapons the Israeli raid on Dayr AZ-Zawr destroyed? Was the USAF involved in the attack? What are the repercussions of this attack? An interesting article appeared in the "Middle Eastern Times" on November 19, 2007. This article, written by Oliver Guitta, made a fascinating observation: "What if Iran was behind the Syrian nuclear program?" The Iranians would be setting up "Plan B". By helping develop nuclear sites in Syria, air strikes on Iran might turn out to be useless. This was a good plan, until Israel bombed the site on September 6.
The Arab news reports are pretty bizarre (Al-Jazeera reported that two USAF planes participated in the raid; and one of them dropped a tactical nuclear bomb on the site!); but one thing is certain:
Hold on to your seats, this is going into extra innings!
